This book is amazing - I have been leafing through it in awe and I am sure to refer to it over and over again for inspiration and the sheer pleasure of seeing the draughtmanship at work in these pages. In my collection of art and animation books it will definitely deserve a special place.The book is very big, with many double fold pages, which serves the cinematic effect for which the art was intended. The reproduction quality is surprisingly good, given that some of the artwork is many decades old - the curators have made a good job at digital cleanup. The selection is incredibly broad and diverse, with the majority of artworks never seen before in any other collection or on the internet. There is no text - which is not a minus overall, though sometimes one may wish to know more about the decisions that went into producing some of the layouts. Also development sketches would be nice to see, but they are probably not available anymore for most of the artwork.I have to confirm what noted by another reviewer: the binding is too weak for a book this size and weight. The book arrived with a broken binding, despite good packaging. I am sure I could have sent it back for a replacement, but decided not to....I just could not resist studying it straight away.

Wundervolle Hintergründe, leider ziemlich wenig bis garkein Text. Etwas mehr "Hintergrund"-Infos zu den Künstlern, der Entstehung, dem Material etc. wäre cool gewesen. Trotzdem eine grandiose Inspiration- bzw. Referenzquelle.

Had to return it due to defect on the book spine. Great pictures and amazing layouts but bad book quality.
